At St John Vianney, our aim is to ensure all our children achieve their best both in terms of their academic performance and in their personal and social development.
Welcome to Attainment Data
We have a high academic ambition for all our children in our care and this is driven by all staff in school. Pupil progress meetings are held termly by the class teacher and senior leadership team to monitor and support each child. Parents and carers receive feedback each term about the progress their child is making and the targets they are working on. Our tracking of pupils’ progress helps us to understand when pupils may benefit from additional help through added interventions to either keep up or catch up, and also helps the school understand the impact of teaching and learning. We ensure that all our children, including our EAL, disadvantaged and children with SEND, receive the additional support and/or resources they may need.
To support the mental health and wellbeing of our children, we use the additional PASS (Pupil Attitudes to Self and School) questionnaire to ensure we are doing all that is possible to support our children in their personal and social development.
Data 2018-2019
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, national testing was suspended. During 2021 to 2022, these tests started again although it is to be noted that the government will not publish KS2 school level data for the 2021 to 2022 academic year.
For 2018 to 2019, the performance of the school as outlined by the DfE Performance Tables can be found here. This page contains some of the data which helps to show the extent to which our school makes progress with our children in reading, writing and mathematics. This data has however now been ‘archived’ by the DfE as they recognise that this data being over 3 years old, may no longer reflect current school performance.
Data 2021-2022
We are happy however to share our latest KS2 data for 2021 to 2022. We have a lot to be proud of in terms of our children’s attainment and the catch-up they continue to make. Headline figures are: for Year 1, we achieved significantly higher than national in our phonics screening check with 93% passing this check.
In Year 6, our children worked extremely hard and as a result, achieved above the national and local figures in all core subjects.
