Admissions Policy Consultation

22 October 2018

We would like to let you know that we are entering a consultation period to amend our Admission Policy. The Admission Number will remain at 60 and will not be changed. A copy of the full proposed admission arrangements for September 2020 will be available on the school website and any comments should be forwarded to Mrs Allen, Headteacher, or Mrs Butterworth, Chair of Governors, by Sunday 10th December 2018.

Year 5 - St Mary's Taster Day

As part of this year's taster days to St Mary's, Year 5 took part in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) day with other schools from the Blackpool Catholic family investigating chromatography and forces.  A fun day was had by all with some of our children winning the design and making of a balloon powered car. Please see the photos attached.  We look forward to visiting the labs again in the near future and in future years.  Mr Horton

Blackpool Council's Free Breakfast Programme

13 June 2018

As part of the ongoing monitoring of the Blackpool Council’s Free School Breakfast Programme in Blackpool, once a term we will be asking pupils attending this school some simple questions regarding what they had for breakfast on a certain date.  We will also be using data we hold on children within the school as part of this study. All information will be aggregated, and no one child, or their answers, will be identifiable within the analysis. If, for any reason, you wish for your child not to take part in the monitoring, can you please let us know, and we will ensure that they are not included.
